About the Role
You will plan and execute verification activities for spacecraft software and hardware. You will develop and improve test infrastructure, automate nightly testing, run manual tests on flight hardware, report regressions, create bug tickets, analyze performance, and trace test results to subsystem requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a technical field
- At least five years of relevant work experience
- Object-oriented programming proficiency
- Python or other scripting language proficiency
- Ability to build and test distributed software or hardware systems
- Ability to lead anomaly investigations involving multiple experts
- Must be a U.S. Person under applicable export regulations
Responsibilities
- Design test plans and procedures for spacecraft software and hardware
- Develop software test infrastructure and tests across emulators and spacecraft hardware
- Improve testing infrastructure for developer and automated testing
- Execute manual test procedures and report regressions
- Expand autonomous nightly tests in the continuous integration pipeline
- Write bug tickets for verification issues
- Develop automated test reporting tools
- Benchmark and analyze spacecraft performance across flight modes
- Identify and resolve anomalous software behavior
- Manage test regressions and test resources
- Manage test software repositories
- Perform acceptance tests and trace features to requirements
- Collect, analyze, and present test metrics
