You will own the data layer, including databases, caches, and strategies for provisioning, querying, and scaling data stores. You will design resilient multi-database architecture, build query guardrails, establish storage-engine guidance, and manage cache reliability and capacity planning.
Requirements
- Experience with relational databases at scale
- Knowledge of Postgres, MySQL, or similar OLTP systems
- Experience with database sharding, migration, or decomposition in production
- Knowledge of tradeoffs among storage engines
- Knowledge of backups, monitoring, query performance, and capacity planning
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
