About the Role
You will build scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant systems for ingesting data into Lakeflow Connect. You will debug and optimize production clusters, design architecture, investigate production issues, lead cross-team projects, de-risk technical solutions, and mentor engineers while guiding planning and delivery.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with database replication, backup, or transaction recovery
- Experience with major database vendors
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- Experience driving initiatives toward customer satisfaction
Responsibilities
- Deliver a scalable, available, and fault-tolerant data-processing engine
- Perform low-level systems debugging, performance measurement, and optimization
- Build architecture designs and influence the product roadmap
- Prevent and investigate production issues
- Plan and lead complex cross-team technical projects
- Break down and de-risk complex technical problems
- Mentor engineers
- Lead sprint planning, delegate work, and participate in project planning
