About the Role
You will design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based microservices for the payment platform. You will support payment lifecycle features, reconciliation, exception handling, monitoring, and integrations with banks, payment methods, card networks, and international partners. You will use AI-assisted development tools, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system reliability, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate with product, risk, finance, compliance, and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders to deliver secure and compliant solutions.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of professional backend development experience, or strong graduate internship or project experience
- Experience with Java, preferably Spring Boot
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and relational databases
- Interest in AI coding tools, LLMs, AI APIs, or AI-powered projects
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese
- Business-level English
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems concepts
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based microservices for the payment platform
- Contribute to acquiring, clearing, settlement, and ledger-accounting features
- Improve reconciliation jobs, exception-handling flows, and monitoring
- Build integrations with banks, payment methods, card networks, and international payment partners
- Use AI-assisted development tools and prototype AI-powered features and internal tools
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability, scalability, and performance
- Collaborate with product, risk, finance, compliance, and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
