About the Role

You will ensure continuous 24x7 operation and security of critical infrastructure, oversee onsite datacenter technicians, and manage day-to-day facility operations. You will perform and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments; monitor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste systems; troubleshoot basic network and electrical issues; manage vendors and work orders; obtain required equipment certifications; and follow safety procedures while occasionally lifting equipment and traveling up to 10%.

Requirements

  • Technical degree in information technology or equivalent certifications and job experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a critical infrastructure environment
  • Comfortable working with a team of technicians in a 24x7 operating environment
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, plumbing, construction, security, and fire protection preferred
  • Experience with IT infrastructure maintenance desired but can be acquired

Responsibilities

  • Oversee personnel hiring, discipline, and performance assessment
  • Ensure facility uptime and production
  • Manage maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations
  • Implement policies and procedures for building and equipment operation
  • Monitor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems
  • Track work orders for quality, service standards, and budget compliance
  • Obtain and maintain certifications for equipment operation (e.g., forklift, personal lift)
  • Communicate effectively with interdepartmental staff
  • Manage relationships with third-party partners and vendors
  • Protect sensitive and confidential information
  • Use ladders, power tools, and hand tools safely
  • Use internal software to track, record, diagnose, and operate hardware
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting, management, and installation
  • Lift and move equipment up to 55 lbs
  • Operate electrical breakers up to 480V safely
  • Perform other duties as assigned
