About the Role
You will set the technical direction and roadmap for sensor development. You will evaluate sensors, manage vendor relationships and requirements, oversee sensor integration and configuration, establish data-quality and reliability systems, and lead cross-functional simulation validation work.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Lidar, Radar, and Camera systems
- 5+ years in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering, physics, mechatronics, computer science, or related field
- Experience leading technical teams in sensor development, validation, or integration
- Knowledge of automotive or robotics sensors
- Experience developing sensor requirements and managing vendor relationships
Responsibilities
- Drive technical direction and strategy for sensor development
- Develop a technical plan for sensor development across product generations and verticals
- Maintain technical relationships with sensor vendors
- Lead testing and evaluation of new sensor samples and supporting tooling
- Develop sensor requirements with systems and hardware teams
- Oversee sensor-data integration into the compute platform
- Manage sensor configuration and optimization
- Implement data-integrity and sensor-health monitoring systems
- Define clean-sensor standards and validation methods
- Collaborate on sensor simulation models and validation
- Provide technical direction and leadership
