About the Role
You will own the testing, calibration, and qualification of inspection-drone sensors from prototype through production. You will design and run test campaigns, build calibration and test benches with mechanical and electronics colleagues, analyze flight-test data, and transfer calibration processes to manufacturing. You will define calibration procedures and acceptance criteria, lead inertial-sensor work, support mechanical sensor integration, and monitor production data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Robotics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in sensor testing, calibration, metrology, or system validation
- Experience delivering a calibration or test bench into production
- Experience designing test setups and fixtures for electromechanical systems and running temperature, shock, and vibration tests
- Experience with inertial sensors, IMU characterization, Allan variance, error modeling, and vibration isolation
- Experience with camera or lidar calibration and associated targets and tooling
- Proficiency in Python for data acquisition, analysis, and test automation
- Comfort with lab instrumentation and automated measurement
- Ability to work autonomously and document and transfer procedures to production
- Professional working proficiency in English
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and qualify production calibration benches for cameras, IMUs, and lidars
- Define and run sensor validation test plans, including characterization, environmental tests, and flight-test data analysis
- Own calibration procedures and acceptance criteria for intrinsic, extrinsic, IMU, and camera-IMU calibration with uncertainty estimation
- Serve as the reference for inertial sensors, including IMU selection, error modeling, and vibration isolation
- Integrate sensors mechanically, including mounting, alignment, thermal behavior, sealing, and field of view
- Transfer calibration and end-of-line tests to manufacturing and analyze production data
