About the Role
You will lead the design, simulation, testing, validation, and documentation of liquid thermal-management systems. You will develop direct-to-processor cooling, select thermal interface materials, evaluate advanced cooling concepts, resolve thermal issues, and coordinate with engineering teams and vendors on system integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of thermal-engineering experience focused on water-cooling systems and advanced thermal management
- Expertise designing and managing direct-to-processor cooling systems and thermal simulations
- Experience with water-cooling systems, internal manifolds, quick disconnects, CDUs, and heat exchangers
- Expertise in thermal management for high-power components
- Proficiency with thermal simulation tools and techniques
- Knowledge of thermal interface materials and heat-sink designs
- Experience with advanced thermal-cooling concepts and technologies
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and optimization of thermal-management systems for high-performance data-center products
- Develop water-cooling solutions using manifolds, quick disconnects, CDUs, and heat exchangers
- Design and manage direct-to-processor water-cooling systems
- Conduct thermal simulations to analyze and optimize cooling performance
- Evaluate and select thermal interface materials for heat sinks and cooling solutions
- Explore and implement advanced thermal-cooling concepts
- Oversee testing and validation of thermal-management systems
- Create and maintain thermal-design documentation, simulation results, and test reports
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, electrical systems engineers, and vendors
