About the Role
You will provide technical oversight for mechanical infrastructure across AI data center deployments. You will review designs and construction work, validate cooling systems, oversee commissioning and owner acceptance, inspect sites, resolve technical issues, support operational readiness, and coordinate with infrastructure, construction, operations, colocation, and equipment partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8 or more years in mission-critical facilities or hyperscale data centers
- Understanding of chilled-water cooling systems
- Experience with high-density AI or HPC cooling
- Knowledge of data center cooling infrastructure
- Construction and commissioning experience
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings
- Communication and project management skills
Responsibilities
- Serve as the mechanical infrastructure subject matter expert for assigned projects
- Review and approve designs, drawings, equipment submittals, RFIs, and change requests
- Validate cooling architectures for high-density AI deployments
- Oversee white-space mechanical systems and distribution
- Represent the owner during design, construction, and commissioning
- Inspect sites, monitor installation quality, and validate work against approved drawings
- Support FAT, SAT, IST, FPT, mechanical startup, cooling optimization, and owner acceptance
- Ensure complete operations and maintenance documentation
- Develop spare-parts strategies, maintenance procedures, training packages, and warranty management
