About the Role

You will evaluate data center design trade-offs across space, power, cooling, and cost. You will build cost models, translate commercial needs into design specifications, assess technologies, establish reusable design standards, and lead cross-functional design reviews before designs are finalized.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in data center design, engineering, or infrastructure planning
Experience with power, cooling, and space optimization trade-offs
Understanding of data center electrical and mechanical systems
Experience translating cost and timeline constraints into engineering decisions
Cost modeling experience
Cross-functional communication skills
Bachelor's degree in a related engineering, architecture, or design field

Responsibilities

Lead trade-off analysis across space, power density, and cost
Translate commercial requirements into design specifications
Evaluate power distribution and cooling architectures
Build and maintain models comparing design alternatives
Develop repeatable design standards and reference architectures
Assess data center technologies for density, cost, and deployment improvements
Run cross-functional design reviews to validate technical and commercial requirements
