About the Role
You will define end-to-end mission concepts for lunar landers, rovers, surface systems, and spacecraft. You will develop system architectures, technical analyses, requirements, verification plans, risk plans, proposals, and customer-facing technical content.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5 to 10 years of relevant engineering experience
- Space-system development or related engineering experience
- Proposal and external customer-presentation experience
- Mission- and system-level requirements authoring and decomposition experience
- Understanding of launch, space, and lunar environments
- Must be a U.S. Person and eligible for required export authorizations
Responsibilities
- Develop and review concepts and designs for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft
- Develop technical content for proposals, research, and mission opportunities
- Develop system-level technical visions and product architectures
- Perform trade studies and system-level analyses
- Develop and manage mission concepts of operations, requirements, interfaces, verification and validation plans, and risk plans
- Contribute to schedule, resourcing, and budget estimates
- Resolve technical risks with engineering disciplines, partners, customers, and vendors
- Translate customer requirements into product goals and system architectures
