About the Role
You will own fleet-management systems from architecture and implementation through production operation. You will build backend services, full-stack features, deployment systems, authentication and permissions, logging infrastructure, and usage tracking. You will also guide architecture discussions, mentor engineers, and improve systems that operate reliably at scale.
Requirements
- Build production systems in distributed or cloud environments
- Design reliable APIs and backend services at scale
- Debug complex distributed systems or production services
- Improve shared platform capabilities, developer tooling, or user-facing systems
- Make technical tradeoffs as systems and architecture evolve
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for machine configuration and fleet state
- Develop full-stack features across APIs, databases, and web applications
- Build systems that deploy configuration and software updates across machine fleets
- Evolve authentication and permissions systems
- Build infrastructure for deployed-machine logs
- Improve machine-usage tracking and billing systems
- Shape architecture decisions for scalable fleet management
- Lead architecture discussions, mentorship, and complex-project guidance
