About the Role

You will own product or infrastructure direction in a major area, from initial development through scalable delivery. You will design architecture, influence the roadmap, debug and optimize large production clusters, prevent and investigate incidents, and lead complex multi-team projects. You will mentor senior engineers, guide planning and reviews, and break down ambiguous technical problems through prototyping and validation.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of industry experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems
  • Ability to work toward a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables
  • Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures
  • Experience driving company initiatives toward customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

  • Deliver scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant data-processing systems
  • Debug, measure, and optimize performance on large production clusters
  • Design architecture and influence the product roadmap
  • Prevent and investigate production issues
  • Lead complex technical projects across multiple teams
  • Lead technical reviews and organization-wide engineering initiatives
  • Mentor engineers, plan sprints, and delegate work
  • Break down complex problems and validate solutions through prototypes
