About the Role

You will design, build, and operate high-scale payment APIs and distributed services using Java and Spring Boot. You will own systems from design through production, integrate payment channels, ensure transaction correctness and recovery, resolve distributed-systems issues, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend software development experience
• Experience building and operating high-availability, large-scale applications
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and software design patterns
• Ability to drive cross-team collaboration and manage complex dependencies
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in crypto or fintech

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-scale payment APIs and distributed services using Java and Spring Boot
• Own systems end to end from design documentation through production ownership
• Integrate and scale payment channels and methods across markets
• Ensure consistency, idempotency, reconciliation, failure recovery, and operational observability
• Participate in design and code reviews and evolve engineering standards
• Investigate and resolve complex distributed-systems challenges
• Collaborate with product, design, and partner teams to deliver systems and unblock dependencies
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge
• Keep current with industry developments
