About the Role
You will lead technical delivery for complex autonomy capabilities across platform integration, fleet operations, and operational deployment. You will define technical strategy, guide development and fielding, solve difficult hardware and software integration problems, support mission events, and improve engineering practices.
Requirements
- BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Expert-level C++ and Linux systems development experience
- Experience defining technical strategy across multiple programs or engineering organizations
- Experience solving highly complex systems integration challenges
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and influencing engineering direction
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Responsibilities
- Define technical strategy for autonomy on new platforms and mission areas
- Lead engineering through shifting priorities and ambiguous technical environments
- Guide development and operational deployment of autonomy capabilities
- Lead architecture reviews, interface definitions, and engineering standards
- Guide release strategy, mission validation, and operational readiness
- Provide technical leadership during demonstrations, exercises, and customer events
- Resolve complex software, hardware, embedded-system, and platform-interface issues
- Drive improvements to testing infrastructure, integration workflows, and developer experience
- Define command-and-control interoperability strategy and open-systems standards
- Mentor senior engineers and help define senior engineering hiring standards
