About the Role
You will provide technical leadership for RF systems on next-generation aircraft. You will optimize RF-link performance, define system and unit requirements, improve design and compliance processes, establish test procedures, mentor engineers, and communicate RF status, risks, and plans across functions.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 15+ years of industry experience as an Electrical Engineer in RF systems
- Technical RF fundamentals
- Cross-functional experience with electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software, manufacturing, and production
- Experience mentoring or guiding engineers
- Experience leading unit-level and system-level design work
- Experience improving RF sensitivity performance
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for next-generation aircraft RF systems
- Quantify and optimize RF link performance and resolve desense and interference issues
- Define system-level and unit-level RF design requirements and features
- Improve RF design, test, and compliance processes
- Define RF test procedures and train operators and technicians
- Provide hiring input and mentor engineers
- Establish processes for RF design, test, review, cross-functional support, and regulatory compliance
- Communicate RF status, risks, needs, and plans to cross-functional stakeholders
