About the Role

You will optimize and scale low-volume production processes, assembly workflows, tooling, and automation for Atlas. You will support prototype builds, improve quality and efficiency, create manufacturing documentation, validate equipment, and work with engineering and supply-chain partners on manufacturable robot designs.

Requirements

• At least 8 to 15 years of relevant process engineering, process development, or advanced manufacturing experience
• CAD proficiency, including SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar software
• Experience with DFM and DFA collaboration
• Experience developing and validating tooling, jigs, fixtures, and automation equipment
• Experience writing work instructions, SOPs, and training materials
• Knowledge of precision assembly techniques
• Experience in prototype, low-volume, or high-mix production
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis
• Experience with additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, machining, and fabrication

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production processes and assembly workflows
• Design production-system tools, material flows, value-stream maps, floor layouts, and automation integrations
• Provide design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly input
• Design, fabricate, and validate custom fixtures, tools, and jigs
• Define assembly sequences, work instructions, SOPs, visual aids, and training materials
• Support prototype builds and drive corrective actions
• Implement process controls and inspection and test processes
• Collaborate with Supply Chain on supplier manufacturing requirements
• Lead continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
• Validate production tooling and equipment
