About the Role
You will own capital tooling and automation projects from production requirements through RFQ, vendor selection, acceptance testing, ramp, and production handoff. You will manage suppliers, achieve equipment performance targets, provide manufacturability input, and develop capital-equipment business cases.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience taking production equipment from RFQ through FAT, SAT, and SOP
- Experience scaling products from prototype builds to high-volume production
- Experience with robotic or automated assembly systems
- Vendor management experience
- 3D CAD proficiency
- Experience defining OEE, cycle-time, and yield targets
- Business-case and ROI analysis experience
Responsibilities
- Own equipment introduction projects from requirements through ramp to SOP
- Benchmark, select, and manage line builders and tooling suppliers
- Define and achieve OEE, throughput, and cycle-time targets
- Provide DFM and DFA input on product, process, and tooling designs
- Build business cases and ROI analyses for capital equipment
- Transfer process and maintenance documentation to production after SOP
- Coordinate equipment integration with engineering disciplines
