About the Role
You will develop mechanical designs for high-power data center products and take them from concept to production. You will design chassis and enclosures, collaborate with internal and external design partners, manage tooling, translate industrial designs into manufacturable solutions, and apply DFM principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 10 years of mechanical engineering experience focused on high-power data center products
- Experience designing and managing data center chassis and enclosures
- Mechanical design and engineering expertise
- Mechanical CAD proficiency, including SolidWorks, Creo, FX, CATIA, or similar tools
- Knowledge of soft and hard tooling processes
- Knowledge of manufacturing requirements, shock testing, and vibration testing
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine mechanical designs for high-power data center products
- Collaborate with internal design teams and Joint Design Manufacturers
- Lead chassis and enclosure design from concept through production
- Manage soft and hard tooling for mass production
- Ensure designs meet manufacturing, shock, and vibration requirements
- Translate industrial design concepts into production-ready mechanical solutions
- Apply DFM principles to optimize manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance
