About the Role
You will develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes and assembly workflows from prototype through production. You will lead DFX strategy, create work instructions and training materials, troubleshoot builds, improve quality controls, validate tooling, and mentor engineers while supporting production and new product introduction programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 8–10 years of progressive manufacturing engineering, process development, or advanced manufacturing experience
- Experience with capacity models, line layouts, and value stream maps
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA
- Understanding of GD&T
- Experience with change orders, procedures, and BOMs
- Experience with DFX methodologies including DFM, DFA, and DFT
- Experience with additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, machining, and fabrication
- Experience writing work instructions, SOPs, and training materials
- Experience in prototype, low-volume, or high-mix production environments
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electromechanical assemblies
- Experience supporting on-site prototype builds and manufacturing-floor operations
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and assembly workflows
- Define and drive DFX strategy across product lines and NPI programs
- Define assembly sequences, work instructions, SOPs, visual aids, and training materials
- Support prototype builds and troubleshoot assembly issues
- Identify root causes and drive corrective actions
- Implement process and design controls for build quality and dimensional accuracy
- Design, build, and validate tooling and equipment
- Perform capability studies for production tools and fixtures
- Mentor junior and staff engineers
- Support on-site prototype builds and manufacturing-floor activities
