About the Role
You will serve as a technical authority for electrical commissioning across multiple data center campuses. You will set technical direction, govern commissioning processes, resolve complex issues, oversee testing and sign-offs, manage commercial outcomes and external partners, communicate with senior stakeholders, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data center commissioning, construction, or critical infrastructure delivery
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent commissioning experience
- Mastery of the L0 through L6 commissioning lifecycle
- Expertise in electrical systems, power distribution, EPMS, protection, controls, and power generation systems
- Experience developing and governing commissioning programs and standards
- Commercial and contractual experience with quoting, bid leveling, vendor scope, and change orders
- Experience managing trade partners, CxAs, OEMs, and contractors
- Strong executive communication skills
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers
- Understanding of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Willingness to travel to project sites; 50% travel
Responsibilities
- Provide commissioning oversight across multiple campuses
- Drive consistency and identify systemic risks across commissioning projects
- Represent commissioning in governance forums and client engagements
- Make complex electrical commissioning decisions
- Resolve technical issues across disciplines, vendors, and projects
- Own technical sign-offs across project boundaries
- Develop and improve commissioning processes, standards, and governance documents
- Conduct quality audits and root cause analysis
- Support quoting, bid leveling, and new business pursuits
- Manage CxA and vendor commercial outcomes
- Hold trade partners and commissioning agents accountable
- Coach and mentor engineers
