About the Role
You design and build core services, APIs, data models, and integrations from a blank Rust repository. You own product areas end to end through production, including on-call responsibilities and incident response. You shape requirements with Product and Design, set code quality standards, make architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and improve testing, instrumentation, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience owning production systems
- Strong Rust, Go, Java, or Kotlin skills; production Rust is strongly preferred
- Experience designing REST APIs at scale, including contracts and versioning strategies
- Deep experience with AWS or equivalent, containers, and CI/CD
- Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives
- Clear written and verbal English
- Self-driven work style
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
