About the Role
You will develop learned robot-control and manipulation models. You will train models, convert heuristic controls to learned approaches, build state representations, and use multimodal sensor data for sensor fusion and state estimation. You will collaborate on training-data collection and build maintainable, high-performance software.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant industry or research experience
- Strong Python programming skills
- Knowledge of Modern C++ and Linux
- Experience with artificial intelligence, distributed ML training platforms, task and motion planning, or simulation
Responsibilities
- Train models for robotic manipulation, force control, and servoing
- Convert heuristic-based control to learned models
- Develop state-space representations for robotics systems
- Collaborate with robotics, machine learning, mechanical engineering, and product partners
- Implement, test, and maintain high-quality software
- Improve the rigor and performance of models
- Apply sensor fusion and state estimation techniques to multimodal sensor data
- Collect training data with data platform, simulation, and robot operations partners
Hiring Process
Applications may be reviewed with AI tools; resumes and responses may be analyzed, and application materials assessed for inconsistencies or verification signals. The recruitment team uses these tools, while final hiring decisions are made by humans.
