About the Role

You will design and evaluate future robotic platforms using physics simulation and reinforcement learning. You will own URDF models and the CAD-to-simulation pipeline, assess robot capabilities, develop benchmarks, and provide quantitative design feedback on actuators, joints, mass distribution, and sensors.

Requirements

  • Robot kinematics and dynamics
  • Robot simulation experience
  • Reinforcement learning in robotics or physics-based simulation
  • URDF experience
  • Python or C++ programming
  • MSc or PhD in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Control, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Design and evaluate robot platforms using physics simulation
  • Analyze workspace, manipulability, balance, and torque limits
  • Use reinforcement learning to stress-test robot designs
  • Own and maintain URDF models
  • Maintain the CAD-to-URDF-to-simulation pipeline
  • Develop locomotion, manipulation, and robustness benchmarks
  • Provide quantitative feedback on hardware design
  • Collaborate on platform design decisions

Benefits

  • 23 days of annual leave
  • 15 days of paid sick leave
  • Paid company holidays
  • Private healthcare
  • Equity
  • Pension scheme with 8% total contribution
