About the Role

You will design real-time robotic control algorithms and architecture, characterize hardware and software parameters through testing, integrate sensing and actuation systems, work with machine learning engineers on reinforcement learning, and improve whole-robot performance onsite.

Requirements

  • Robotics experience with manipulators, mobile robots, or complex physical systems
  • Experience with actuation, control systems, robot dynamics, estimation, subsystem tuning, or whole-body motion
  • Hands-on robotic hardware experience, including commissioning, debugging, testing, and iteration
  • Knowledge of classical control, system dynamics, and estimation
  • Exposure to learning-based or reinforcement learning approaches
  • Ability to work from low-level hardware interfaces to higher-level algorithms
  • Experience writing production-quality software in C++ or Rust
  • Experience with robotic hardware and simulation-to-real-world testing

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement real-time control algorithms for robotic systems
  • Define control architecture from actuators and hardware interfaces through whole-robot behavior
  • Characterize actuator, hardware, and software parameters through experimentation, testing, commissioning, and verification
  • Work with machine learning engineers to implement reinforcement learning models
  • Integrate control logic with sensing and actuation hardware
  • Inform mechanical and electrical design
  • Create control system architecture across the robot stack

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and families
  • Employer contributions to Health Savings Accounts
  • Pre-tax Health FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and commuter accounts
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
  • Paid parental, medical, and caregiver leave
  • Flexible PTO for exempt employees and up to 15 days annually for non-exempt employees
  • 13+ paid company holidays and paid office closures
  • Paid sick or safe time
  • Mental health and wellness support
  • Employer-paid basic life and disability coverage
  • Daily office meals and eligible meal-delivery credits
  • Relocation support for eligible employees
  • Charitable donation matching and wellness stipends may be provided
