About the Role
You will architect, design, and implement robotic systems that control ground-based farm rovers. You will select sensing hardware, solve technical challenges, develop test plans, validate components and systems in the field, contribute to the research roadmap, and help grow the robotics team.
Requirements
- 5+ years developing and commercializing robotic systems
- C++ skills
- Python skills
- ROS or similar robotics software framework expertise
- Knowledge of motion planning, localization, navigation, and sensor fusion
- Knowledge of trajectory tracking, feedback control, and state estimation
- Experience integrating LIDAR, cameras, range-finding sensors, inertial navigation, and GPS or GNSS sensors
- Linux experience
- Git and pull-review experience
- Field robotics experience
- CANBUS, TCP/UDP, and wireless communication knowledge
- Rust knowledge
- Embedded systems, real-time applications, PLCs, and industrial automation experience
- Simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing experience
- Hydraulic and electrical actuator experience
- Linear and nonlinear control-system design knowledge
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement robotic systems for ground-based farm rovers
- Collaborate with Product to clarify requirements
- Select sensing hardware and technologies for rapid prototyping
- Provide robotics expertise in sensing, autonomy, controls, and system integration
- Solve major technical challenges hands-on
- Contribute to the research roadmap
- Develop component- and system-level test and validation plans
- Build and test systems in the field
- Help grow the robotics team
