About the Role
You will advise on privacy laws affecting clinical data, AI, machine learning, and product development. You will embed privacy into product development, support data-sharing and commercial matters, monitor regulatory changes, maintain privacy policies, negotiate BAAs, and create scalable privacy tools, playbooks, intake processes, and training.
Requirements
- 7+ years of legal experience at a technology company or technology-focused law firm
- Experience developing and evaluating product compliance programs
- Knowledge of legal, regulatory, business, and customer considerations
- Ability to translate legal requirements into actionable guidance
- Juris Doctor degree
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
Responsibilities
- Advise on privacy laws related to clinical data, AI, machine learning, product development, and sensitive information
- Scale privacy programs aligned with HIPAA and U.S. privacy frameworks
- Embed privacy into product development
- Support data-sharing governance and contractual expectations
- Monitor privacy, cybersecurity, healthcare, and AI regulations and provide action plans
- Maintain privacy and security policies and notices
- Negotiate commercial terms and BAAs
- Build privacy templates, playbooks, intake paths, and training
