About the Role

You will execute technical accounting for acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and financing structures. You will conduct accounting due diligence, complete purchase and integration accounting, assess consolidation outcomes, manage valuation specialists, author technical memoranda, strengthen deal controls, and prepare transaction-related financial-statement disclosures.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 4+ years owning complex M&A and strategic investment accounting transactions
  • Active CPA license
  • Big 4 experience
  • Experience with closed acquisitions and strategic investments
  • Knowledge of US GAAP for business combinations, consolidation, equity method, and fair value measurement
  • Valuation expertise
  • Experience with accounting systems, consolidation tools, and advanced Excel modeling
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience

Responsibilities

  • Execute technical accounting for business combinations, asset acquisitions, joint ventures, and financing structures
  • Advise on deal structures, GAAP outcomes, controls, and earnings implications
  • Perform accounting due diligence on prospective transactions
  • Execute purchase accounting and post-close integration accounting
  • Assess consolidation and investment classification for investees and structured arrangements
  • Manage and review work from third-party valuation specialists
  • Author and defend technical accounting policies and memoranda
  • Partner on tax, treasury, legal, and financing-instrument accounting
  • Refine deal-accounting checklists, close playbooks, and SOX-ready controls
  • Prepare and review transaction disclosures, pro forma information, and significance testing
  • Present transaction accounting conclusions to stakeholders
  • Monitor accounting and SEC developments
