About the Role
You will lead the technical accounting agenda, support month-end close, research and document US GAAP positions, and translate conclusions into operational processes. You will manage accounting for revenue, compute costs, leases, capitalized software, stock-based compensation, consolidation, and related controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Technical knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, ASC 350-40, ASC 805, and ASC 810
- Experience supporting or leading an external audit
- Written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Execute the technical accounting agenda across the organization
- Translate business requirements into operational accounting processes
- Assess business systems and identify AI-enabled workflow opportunities
- Establish internal-control considerations
- Research and advise on revenue accounting and contract costs
- Evaluate compute agreements and document technical accounting positions
- Own lease accounting and prepare disclosures
- Own internal-use software capitalization and fixed-asset tracking
- Support stock-based compensation calculations and disclosures
- Own consolidation, intercompany accounting, foreign exchange, and other technical positions
- Research and maintain US GAAP policy memos
