About the Role
You will build site and capacity pipelines for Japan or Australia, evaluate technical and commercial feasibility, manage permitting and due diligence, validate site conditions, and report site readiness, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Real Estate, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in data centre development, infrastructure, hyperscale cloud, real estate, telecommunications, utilities, or mission-critical facilities
- 5+ years leading site selection, capacity planning, infrastructure strategy, or capital development programs in data centres
- Experience managing complex cross-functional programs
- Ability to speak and communicate in Japanese
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain pipelines of greenfield and brownfield sites
- Engage landowners, developers, industrial estate operators, and municipal governments
- Evaluate site power, grid connections, seismic risk, cooling, fibre connectivity, and zoning
- Manage permitting timelines with government, planning authorities, and community stakeholders
- Monitor colocation capacity, supply and demand, power constraints, and pricing
- Align site capacity and RFS timelines with customer commitments
- Perform site and data centre due diligence
- Manage third-party due diligence relationships and RFIs
- Coordinate site visits and validate power availability, RFS dates, and capacity
- Produce site assessment reports, risk registers, and cost-to-develop estimates
