About the Role
You will establish and lead field quality operations, evaluate fleet issues, manage corrective actions, and build quality processes, tools, governance, and reporting. You will lead field quality staff, coordinate investigations across hardware, software, operations, and service, oversee safety-critical escalations, and use data and quality methods to improve fleet reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in quality, field reliability, or related roles
- Experience managing cross-functional teams
- Experience with RCCA methodologies and corrective-action systems
- Data analysis skills and familiarity with dashboards, telemetry, and field-data systems
- Experience coordinating hardware and software investigations
- Stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience developing processes, RASIC definitions, and governing playbooks
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality or compliance frameworks
- Experience with Jira, data visualization platforms, or statistical software
Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the Field Quality function
- Evaluate fleet issues and track corrective actions through closure
- Define Field Quality roles, responsibilities, playbooks, and governance
- Build, manage, hire, and mentor Field Quality staff
- Own field-quality dashboards, tooling, metrics, and reporting
- Triage fleet issues and coordinate cross-functional investigations
- Drive root-cause corrective action processes and validate effectiveness
- Coordinate safety-critical escalation processes
- Plan and communicate risks, rollout strategies, and sign-offs
- Maintain documentation, workflows, and training
- Use statistical analysis and data to drive continuous improvement
- Represent Field Quality in reviews, audits, and assessments
