About the Role
You will define and execute power, thermal, and performance validation for AI compute silicon and platforms. You will lead and mentor validation engineers, manage multiple validation projects, perform post-silicon characterization, build automation and reporting, run benchmarks, analyze data, resolve technical issues, and communicate findings and risks.
Requirements
- Experience in power and performance validation, silicon characterization, or system performance engineering
- Experience leading or managing engineering teams
- Understanding of SoC architecture, CPU, memory, interconnect, and high-speed I/O
- Linux systems knowledge and low-level performance analysis experience
- Python programming skills for automation and data analysis
- Experience with stress-ng, fio, perf, iperf, or equivalent tools
- Experience debugging hardware and software interactions
- Ability to define validation methodologies, workload models, and test strategies
- Analytical skills for interpreting datasets and identifying bottlenecks
- Communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Define and lead validation strategies for power, thermal, and performance characterization
- Lead, mentor, and support validation engineers
- Plan and execute validation activities across projects and milestones
- Develop validation plans for functional, stress, workload, and corner-case scenarios
- Lead post-silicon bring-up and characterization
- Validate CPU, memory, interconnect, and high-speed I/O subsystems
- Develop automation frameworks, regression infrastructure, and reporting tools using Python
- Design and execute benchmark workloads and performance experiments
- Debug and resolve hardware and software interactions
- Define validation metrics, pass/fail criteria, and reporting methodologies
- Analyze power, thermal, and performance data
- Support hiring, onboarding, and team growth
