About the Role
You will lead IT product management and software asset management for internal business applications and enterprise systems. You will define product strategy and roadmaps, prioritize demand, manage delivery and releases, establish change-management practices, govern SaaS assets, and lead and develop product and asset-management professionals.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in IT or business systems product management, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of people-management experience
- Experience owning end-to-end product strategy and delivery for internal enterprise systems
- Background in IT product management and product leadership
- Knowledge of SaaS governance, software asset management, and IT financial management
- Ability to define and execute an Enterprise AI strategy
- Experience establishing or scaling operational practices within a technology organization
- Stakeholder management skills
- Experience defining and tracking product and operational KPIs
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Verbal communication and presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain product vision, strategy, and prioritized roadmaps for internal business applications and enterprise systems
- Partner with business owners to understand requirements, pain points, and technology investment priorities
- Manage backlogs of features, defects, and enhancements for internal business technology systems
- Define and track product metrics to measure performance, usage, and business value
- Lead demand planning and commitment processes for business technology requests
- Define prioritization criteria for projects and enhancements
- Publish and maintain a visible backlog with queue status, estimated effort, and delivery timelines
- Forecast and allocate personnel and budget across prioritized projects and enhancements
- Establish product governance mechanisms, including steering committees
- Define and maintain an organizational change-management playbook and governance
- Lead change-management strategy, stakeholder analysis, and impact assessments for major implementations and upgrades
- Track system adoption metrics, stabilization plans, and lessons learned
- Oversee QA and UAT processes before deployment
- Participate in sprint demos and provide feedback on acceptance criteria
- Own and maintain the release calendar and coordinate deployment windows
- Establish hypercare programs for major system go-lives
- Develop business systems product-management competencies across the organization
- Lead and govern the software asset lifecycle from procurement through disposal
- Establish centralized SaaS intake and approval processes
- Drive software cost reduction and optimization through license audits, contract consolidation, and tool sunsetting
- Create software asset management metrics, dashboards, and reporting
- Set the team vision and operating model
- Build, mentor, and lead IT teams
- Partner with business technology leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
