About the Role

You will manage the flow of legal work from intake through execution, approval, and payment. You will optimize contract workflows, maintain legal records and systems, oversee outside counsel operations and spending, support governance, transactions, claims, and litigation, and create dashboards and automation to improve legal operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in legal operations, contract management, or paralegal roles
  • 3+ years of corporate paralegal experience
  • Understanding of contract terms, corporate entity management, and litigation hold procedures
  • Experience with litigation and claims management
  • Ability to partner with Finance, Accounting, and Human Resources
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Own contract intake, routing, workflow optimization, and status tracking using Zip
  • Perform initial review and triage of third-party agreements, escalating complex issues to attorneys
  • Build contract templates, playbooks, and self-service tools
  • Establish repository standards and manage post-execution filing and signature routing
  • Oversee law firm billing guidelines, outside counsel engagements, and initial invoice reviews
  • Track legal spending against budgets and collaborate on accruals and reporting
  • Support outside counsel rate negotiations and evaluate legal vendors
  • Manage corporate governance, state filings, annual reports, registered-agent coordination, cap table, and corporate records
  • Coordinate diligence, document collection, and virtual data rooms for transactions and financings
  • Support claims and litigation intake, holds, insurance, document collection, deadline tracking, and outside counsel coordination
  • Administer Zip, Carta, e-signature tools, and billing software
  • Build operational dashboards for work volume, spending trends, and process bottlenecks
  • Implement AI tools and automation with appropriate review protocols
