About the Role
You will design, build, test, and maintain scalable integrations between Legion and enterprise HR, POS, payroll, and related systems. You will develop REST APIs, improve integration reliability, troubleshoot production issues, conduct code reviews, document best practices, and mentor junior engineers. You will also participate in on-call rotation and work outside normal hours when needed.
Requirements
- 7+ years of business, information, solution, or technical architecture experience
- 3+ years of event-driven architecture and microservices experience
- Integration protocol expertise including HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, SOAP, REST, JMS, and JDBC
- Linux or Unix experience
- Core Java proficiency
- Relational database, SQL, and JDBC experience
- 2+ years of AWS experience including CDK, CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS, and EC2
- Test-driven development experience
- Java RESTful web services experience
- Agile development tools including Jira, GitHub, and Jenkins
- CI/CD knowledge and experience
- Root-cause analysis
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable integration architectures
- Design, build, and test integrations using Workato
- Develop secure and efficient REST APIs
- Ensure high-performance and reliable cloud integrations
- Collaborate on designs and code reviews
- Identify, report, and prioritize product bugs and enhancements
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve backend reliability
- Write secure, testable, and efficient integration code
- Conduct peer code reviews
- Mentor junior engineers
- Contribute to technical documentation and integration best practices
- Participate in on-call rotation
