About the Role
You will own end-to-end quality assurance for enterprise financial and backend applications. You will plan and execute manual and automated testing, build and maintain API test automation, validate data with SQL, investigate issues through logs and diagnostics, manage defects, and communicate quality metrics and delivery risks to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of Quality Assurance and Testing experience, including at least 2 years of automation experience
- Manual testing expertise for enterprise, financial, middleware, and backend applications
- API testing experience with Postman and SOAP UI
- API automation experience using Rest Assured with Java
- UI testing and automation familiarity with Selenium WebDriver
- SQL knowledge, including complex queries and stored procedures
- Unix/Linux experience
- Experience with backend automation, batch job testing, and log-based debugging
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and QA best practices
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
- Understanding of financial systems, payment gateways, e-wallets, and related workflows
- Working knowledge of Agentic AI with GitHub Copilot or a similar AI tool
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end QA activities, including requirement analysis, test planning, execution, and reporting
- Collaborate with technology leads, product managers, and business teams on testing strategies
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for APIs and backend systems
- Define and implement test strategies, frameworks, and processes
- Perform manual and automated testing for financial, middleware, and backend applications
- Analyze system behavior and develop detailed test plans
- Execute API testing with Postman and automate tests using Rest Assured with Java
- Conduct UI testing and automation using Selenium WebDriver where applicable
- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and backend verification
- Debug application issues using server logs and backend diagnostics
- Coordinate testing for application enhancements and technical operations
- Participate in Agile ceremonies
- Track defects, manage test cases, and report issues using JIRA, ALM, TestRail, or X-Ray
- Communicate project risks, progress, KPIs, and quality metrics to stakeholders
