About the Role
You will build and lead a team that advances validated targets through drug discovery and preclinical programs. You will direct target discovery and ADI model teams, prioritize candidates, apply causal modeling and human genetics, manage external partners, and represent discovery strategy in portfolio discussions.
Requirements
- PhD in neuroscience, immunology, cell biology, genetics, pharmacology, or a related field
- Extensive neurodegeneration target-discovery leadership experience
- Experience advancing programs through lead optimization and IND-enabling studies
- Advanced 3D neurodegenerative disease cellular-model expertise
- People leadership and cross-functional program leadership
- Causal modeling and human genetic data experience
- Ability to work onsite at least four days per week
Responsibilities
- Build a target discovery and preclinical development team
- Guide programs through lead optimization and in vivo proof of concept
- Lead target discovery and validation
- Lead in vivo and in vitro discovery teams
- Apply causal modeling and human genetic data to prioritize targets
- Align priorities across discovery and preclinical programs
- Manage CRO and external partner relationships
- Represent discovery strategy in portfolio discussions
