About the Role
You will own cloud infrastructure, Terraform, CI/CD, observability, incident response, secrets management, access controls, disaster recovery, and automated compliance evidence. You will improve deployment safety, maintain audit-ready systems, participate in shared on-call coverage, and build reliable platforms for regulated financial operations.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps SRE platform or cloud infrastructure engineering
- Production ownership of systems where failure had significant consequences
- Deep AWS or equivalent cloud experience including networking IAM multi-account architecture and cost management
- Fluency with Terraform
- Experience with Kubernetes or ECS
- Experience with secrets and identity management
- Incident response and postmortem experience
- Scripting and tooling development experience
- Ability to communicate outages to compliance officers and clients
- Crypto experience is a plus but not required
- Experience with SOC 2 Type II PCI OSFI-adjacent or provincial regulatory examinations is a plus
- Experience with node infrastructure MPC or hardware security modules is a plus
Responsibilities
- Manage AWS infrastructure and Terraform code
- Maintain environment parity across infrastructure
- Build safe CI/CD pipelines with progressive rollouts and rollback capabilities
- Implement metrics logs traces alerts runbooks and postmortems
- Manage secrets IAM credential rotation and key material boundaries
- Design segregation of duties peer approvals break-glass procedures and immutable audit logging
- Test backup restore failover and disaster recovery procedures
- Automate compliance evidence generation
- Participate in shared 24/7 on-call coverage
