About the Role
You will own production reliability during APAC hours and coordinate handoffs across regions. You will build and operate Kubernetes infrastructure on GCP and hybrid environments, manage infrastructure as code and GitOps workflows, improve observability and incident response, operate stateful production services, and automate repetitive operational work.
Requirements
- Five or more years of production experience in DevOps SRE platform engineering or infrastructure operations
- Strong Kubernetes and cloud-platform experience
- Production GCP or GKE experience preferred
- Strong Terraform infrastructure-as-code GitOps and CI/CD fundamentals
- Knowledge of Linux containers networking DNS TLS IAM and secrets management
- Experience monitoring and responding to incidents involving distributed or stateful services
- Practical scripting and automation skills
- Clear written and spoken English
- Strong documentation and asynchronous handoff skills
- Ability to work the published APAC schedule and participate in the on-call rotation
- Experience with FluxCD Helm Kustomize Atlantis or GitLab CI preferred
- Experience with Prometheus Mimir Grafana Grafana IRM Loki or Alertmanager preferred
- Experience with CloudNativePG Barman or WAL recovery Redis Kafka or GCS preferred
- Bitcoin Elements Liquid electrs Lightning exchange market data or high-availability financial infrastructure experience preferred
- Hybrid or on-premises Kubernetes and security-sensitive infrastructure experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Own production reliability during APAC operating hours
- Participate in the primary and secondary on-call rotation
- Build and operate GCP and hybrid Kubernetes infrastructure
- Ship reversible production changes through CI/CD and GitOps workflows
- Build monitoring and alerting systems and improve SLOs and runbooks
- Operate PostgreSQL Redis Kafka persistent volumes and recovery mechanisms
- Manage IAM secrets DNS TLS ingress load balancers and network policies
- Automate repetitive operations with Python Go Bash or similar tools
- Review infrastructure changes and coordinate cross-region handoffs
