About the Role

You will own strategic sourcing for electrical components, including switchgear, PDC components, cable, wire, and specialized hardware. You will assess suppliers, develop category strategies, negotiate contracts, manage supply risks, and establish supplier performance frameworks.

Requirements

4–7+ years of strategic sourcing or category management experience for electrical components, switchgear, or industrial electrical equipment
Working familiarity with NEC and UL compliance requirements
Experience structuring, negotiating, and redlining commercial contracts
Proficiency with supplier qualification, RFI and RFQ processes, scorecarding, and category segmentation

Responsibilities

Maintain market intelligence for electrical supply categories
Own and qualify the electrical Approved Vendor List
Verify NEC and UL compliance
Develop category strategies, roadmaps, and dual-sourcing options
Negotiate MSAs, pricing, terms, and SLAs
Manage single-source and lead-time risks
Maintain supplier performance scorecards
Create commercial frameworks for operational purchasing teams
