About the Role

You will lead LemFi's market-entry strategy across LATAM, with Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic as likely anchor markets. You will identify partners, negotiate and close distribution deals, navigate regulatory pathways, and launch initial revenue cohorts. You will use AI tools to accelerate market, competitor, regulatory, and partner research. You will represent the company with partners, regulators, and ecosystem stakeholders, report to the Head of LATAM, and build a small business development team as momentum grows.

Requirements

  • Proven 0-to-1 LATAM market-entry experience, specifically in Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic
  • Deep familiarity with remittance licensing, foreign-exchange frameworks, stablecoin regulation, and KYC/AML localisation across at least two LATAM markets
  • Track record of closing distribution partnerships with banks, fintechs, or payment processors
  • Experience operating across multiple markets simultaneously
  • Experience working in fast-moving, under-resourced environments
  • Commercial prioritisation and data-literacy skills
  • Fluency in Spanish and English

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the LATAM market-entry strategy across Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and other new markets
  • Validate market prioritisation with data and adjust strategy quickly
  • Secure distribution partnerships with banks, fintechs, and payment processors
  • Navigate remittance licensing, foreign-exchange regulations, stablecoin treatment, and KYC/AML localisation with legal and compliance
  • Define and achieve partner, regulatory-clearance, and first-revenue-cohort metrics
  • Use AI tools to research competitive and regulatory landscapes, identify partners, and build market-prioritisation models
  • Represent LemFi with partners, regulators, and ecosystem stakeholders
  • Build a small business development team as momentum grows
