About the Role
You will own the server-side architecture and core services powering a white-label Android game distribution platform built from the ground up. You'll design highly available and scalable backend services, build a multi-tenant architecture with proper data isolation, and create the storage and delivery solution for large game files using object storage, CDN, signed URLs, resumable downloads, and version management. You'll also build backend APIs and permission systems for the operations admin panel and publisher portal, deliver a search solution using tools like Elasticsearch, and ensure the system remains performant, secure, and observable through monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 5+ years of backend development experience
- Strong command of GoLang
- Proficiency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Gemini
- Solid RESTful API design skills; familiar with microservice architecture
- Familiar with relational database (MySQL/PostgreSQL) design and optimization; knowledge of NoSQL such as Redis
- Familiar with message queues such as Kafka/RabbitMQ, caching, and other middleware
- Solid engineering fundamentals including coding standards, unit testing, Git, and CI/CD
- At least 3 of the following: understanding of the Chinese gaming industry, experience in Chinese game building/publishing/operation on main Chinese gaming platforms, experience in backend development for game or game platform, familiarity with server-side integration of game SDKs (accounts, in-app purchases, real-name verification), familiarity with in-app purchase (IAP), virtual goods, and orders, experience with multi-tenant SaaS / white-label platform architecture
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch is a plus
- Experience designing and optimizing high-concurrency, high-traffic systems is a plus
- Experience with app stores or content/game distribution platforms is a plus
- Knowledge of object storage and CDN, with experience in or awareness of large-file / high-concurrency delivery is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services for the game distribution platform with a highly available and scalable server-side architecture
- Design and implement a multi-tenant architecture supporting data isolation
- Design and implement the storage and delivery solution for large game files including object storage, CDN, signed download URLs, resumable downloads, and version management
- Build backend APIs and permission systems for the operations admin panel and publisher portal
- Design and deliver a search solution such as Elasticsearch to power full-text search and filtering of games
- Ensure system performance, concurrency, security, and observability including monitoring, logging, and alerting
