About the Role
You will own day-to-day accounting for subsidiaries, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. You will manage outsourced providers, support month-end close and statutory filings, monitor cash flow, and improve accounting processes and controls.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of Finnish accounting standards and statutory reporting.
- Understanding of VAT and corporate income tax.
- Experience managing external service providers.
- Fluent Finnish and English.
- Excel and spreadsheet skills.
- Experience using AI tools for finance operations.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end day-to-day accounting for subsidiaries.
- Manage bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Manage local accounting, payroll, and audit providers.
- Review monthly figures during month-end close.
- Ensure statutory, tax, and regulatory filing compliance.
- Monitor subsidiary cash flow.
- Improve local accounting processes and controls.
- Set up accounting processes for new subsidiaries.
