About the Role
You will support crypto risk management by assessing new products and business changes, facilitating risk and control assessments, analyzing incidents, and preparing governance reporting. You will manage issue remediation, develop risk indicators, translate technical risks for non-engineering partners, and collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, operations, and enterprise risk stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in operational risk, enterprise risk management, or technology risk at a regulated financial services or crypto/fintech firm
- Experience facilitating risk assessments with business, product, and engineering owners
- Experience contributing to business continuity or disaster recovery exercises
- Experience performing root-cause or thematic analysis across incidents
- Understanding of risk taxonomies, control design, key risk indicators, and issue management
- Ability to read engineering design documents and incident postmortems and extract risk
- Written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Facilitate technical and product risk assessments for crypto products, features, and business changes
- Analyze incident and issue data to identify root causes, control weaknesses, and systemic themes
- Lead or support retrospectives on material events and translate findings into risk insights
- Mature the operational loss tracking process and trend reporting
- Manage the issue lifecycle from identification through remediation and closure
- Perform and refresh risk and control self-assessments and support business impact analyses
- Develop key risk indicators and prepare governance reporting and escalations
- Translate technical risks into actionable terms for non-engineering partners
- Partner with engineering, product, compliance, crypto operations, and enterprise risk teams
