About the Role

You will design RF and microwave modules from requirements through production release. You will develop active and passive circuits, create RF PCB designs, simulate and verify hardware, diagnose RF issues, develop production test strategies, and support qualification, integration, and flight testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1 or more years of relevant post-undergraduate experience for Engineer II or 2 or more years for Senior Engineer
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, or debugging RF or microwave circuits, modules, or PCB assemblies
  • Understanding of S-parameters, impedance matching, transmission lines, stability, gain, noise figure, linearity, compression, nonlinear products, isolation, and cascaded RF performance
  • Experience reviewing RF PCB layouts
  • Proficiency with RF laboratory instruments and calibration methods
  • Ability to use simulation and measured data for design decisions and requirement closure
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site in a laboratory and hardware-development environment

Responsibilities

  • Design RF and microwave modules from requirements through production release
  • Design active and passive RF circuits
  • Develop RF front-end assemblies that meet performance requirements
  • Perform circuit and electromagnetic analysis and correlate models with measured hardware
  • Create and review RF and mixed-signal PCB designs
  • Plan and execute laboratory characterization
  • Diagnose RF hardware issues
  • Integrate RF hardware within mechanical, thermal, avionics, communications, antenna, manufacturing, and test constraints
  • Develop verification methods, production test strategies, calibration approaches, and technical documentation
  • Support environmental and electromagnetic qualification, supplier engagements, hardware integration, and testing
  • Contribute to design reviews and support interns and less-experienced engineers
