About the Role
You will design assigned boards, harnesses, and electrical interfaces from schematic through release. You will create PCB layouts in Altium, support testing and manufacturing builds, maintain PLM documentation, investigate issues, select components, and collaborate with engineering partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- 2+ years of electrical design experience or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Altium schematic capture and PCB layout
- Experience with automation, robotics, automotive, or similar embedded systems
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI fundamentals
- Ability to apply DfX
- Ability to follow a PDP or phase-gate process
- Familiarity with PLM and contract-manufacturer builds
- Microsoft not required
Responsibilities
- Design electrical solutions for boards, harnesses, and interfaces
- Take assigned designs from schematic through release
- Follow PDP design reviews, verification, and release practices
- Design schematics and PCB layouts in Altium
- Apply DfX practices
- Support PLM updates and contract-manufacturer builds
- Contribute to test procedures and execute testing
- Investigate laboratory issues and implement corrective changes
- Select approved components
- Provide informal guidance to less experienced colleagues
