About the Role
You will develop policy proposals to reduce unnecessary burdens in clinical research while preserving standards for safety and efficacy. You will produce policy writing, engage stakeholders, build relationships across policy communities, and represent the work in meetings, conferences, media opportunities, and commentary.
Requirements
- Experience or serious interest in health policy, science policy, biomedical innovation, clinical research, FDA regulation, medicine, law, academia, government, or industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to translate complex scientific, regulatory, and technical concepts for non-specialist audiences
- Strong judgment on actionable policy ideas
- Familiarity with FDA law and regulation, drug development, clinical trial operations, research ethics, health data infrastructure, or biomedical R&D
- Experience working with Congress, federal agencies, think tanks, advocacy organizations, industry, academia, or policy campaigns
- Ability to frequently navigate multiple flights of stairs throughout the workday in a multi-story facility without elevator access
Responsibilities
- Develop policy proposals for clinical research
- Produce reports, essays, op-eds, testimony, regulatory comments, memos, and briefing materials
- Engage policymakers, agency officials, scholars, clinicians, advocates, and industry leaders
- Build relationships across science, technology, health, and innovation policy communities
- Represent the work in meetings, conferences, media opportunities, and published commentary
