CCTI is an internal center of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. It combines research, experimentation, and interdisciplinary study to develop technology, governance, and policy responses to cyber and emerging-technology threats. About the Role
You will lead and grow a portfolio of major donors and prospects across the Tri-State region. You will develop multi-year cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies; facilitate donor meetings; prepare tailored proposals and materials; lead regional donor events; and travel regularly throughout the Tri-State region and to Washington, DC.
Requirements
- Have 7–10 years of professional fundraising experience with direct responsibility for securing five- and six-figure gifts.
- Demonstrate success managing a sophisticated donor portfolio.
- Have knowledge of foreign policy, national security, and geopolitical issues, or the ability to gain fluency quickly.
- Have exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Be able to develop customized cultivation and solicitation pathways.
- Be willing and able to travel regularly throughout the Tri-State region and to Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and grow a portfolio of major donors and prospects across the Tri-State region.
- Develop and execute multi-year cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
- Meet annual revenue goals through portfolio management, strategic solicitation, and pipeline development.
- Conduct proactive outreach to deepen donor engagement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary contact for donors, prospects, and philanthropic partners.
- Plan and facilitate donor meetings.
- Prepare donor strategy briefs, research, meeting materials, proposals, and follow-up communications.
- Represent the organization at donor programs, briefings, meetings, and regional events.
- Coordinate donor cultivation, impact reporting, and development processes.
- Travel regularly throughout the Tri-State region and to Washington, DC.
