About the Role

You'll be responsible for making sure money moves correctly and every transaction matches up. You'll review and process agent e-float purchases and partner wallet funding, going through each transaction individually to confirm amounts match exactly and flagging any differences for investigation. You'll perform daily reconciliation of bank transactions and reconcile banks with their corresponding bank agent IDs. You'll record daily and monthly bank fees and dig into discrepancies or balance differences to identify their source. You'll also support your direct reports in implementing projects and take on ad hoc tasks as they come up.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in English and French
  • Primary degree in banking, finance, accounting or similar field
  • At least 4 years' experience in a comparable position
  • Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reconciling financial data
  • Experience training and managing junior staff
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Work authorisation in Cameroon required

  • Verify each transaction individually to ensure amounts match exactly and note discrepancies to investigate
  • Perform daily reconciliation of bank transactions
  • Reconcile banks with corresponding bank agent IDs
  • Record daily and monthly bank fees
  • Investigate and identify the source of discrepancies or balance differences
  • Assist direct reports in implementing projects
  • Complete ad hoc tasks
