About the Role
You will manage the Incoming Quality Lab, prioritize quality-control work, and keep inspection equipment operational. You will create quality plans and work instructions, supervise inspectors, lead material-review processes, perform inspections, approve first-article reports, and manage nonconformance and quality-tracking activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of similar manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
- Expertise in GD&T ASME Y14.5-2009 or ASME Y14.5-2018
- Expertise in Sampling Plan C=0 and ASQ Z1.4/MIL-STD-105
- Proficiency with digital height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and numeracy skills
Responsibilities
- Manage the Incoming Quality Lab and quality-control workload
- Maintain inspection equipment
- Develop quality-control plans and work instructions
- Lead and supervise quality-control inspectors
- Lead Material Review Board meetings and processes
- Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections
- Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports
- Initiate nonconformance reports and oversee the quality tracker
- Maintain a clean and organized quality-control area
- Support quality-control activities
